This landmark development of a new cancer centre for Churchill Hospital in Oxford made good use of our Keratwin K3 and KerAion systems, with over 12,000 m² of material supplied to the site. The £109m PFI Project was designed by American Architects Steffan Bradley Architects and it provides the hospital with:- - Additional medical and surgical beds for cancer patients
- a new radiology department- a new head and neck cancer surgery centre
- new linear accelerators for radiotherapy
- 12 additional places for chemotherapy patients
The building has been designed to have very low energy use, and to be environmentally-friendly, and our hydrotect self cleaning technology was employed on the tiles to ensure that there was no ongoing cost or polluting chemicals needed to clean the facade.
